Two things in one. Buckled up, it is a round plush bed with a padded centre and a covered tunnel running round the outside. Unbuckled, it opens out into a 160 cm play tunnel. Cats being cats, most end up using it as both within about a day.
There are several entry points, so two cats can be in it at once without one of them getting cornered. A small hanging ball toy sits inside the tunnel.

Who it suits
Cats and kittens of any size, and the manufacturer also lists small dogs and rabbits. The tunnel is 26 cm across, so a large dog will not fit through it. The bed section comfortably takes one large cat or two smaller ones.
Care
The centre mat is machine washable. Wash it on a cool, gentle cycle and let it air dry rather than tumble drying it, or the plush will mat. Spot clean the tunnel section and give it a going over with a lint roller or the vacuum brush attachment for hair.
Honest answers
Will my cat actually use it? We cannot promise that, and nor can anyone else. An enclosed tunnel with more than one way out is about as appealing as cat furniture gets, but some cats ignore anything new for a fortnight and then move in permanently. Putting it where they already sleep helps.
Can I fold it away? Yes. Undo the buckles and it lies flat.
Is the whole thing washable? No. The padded centre mat comes out and goes in the machine. The plush tunnel is spot clean only.
Does it hold its shape? The manufacturer describes an internal frame that keeps the tunnel open. That is as much as we can tell you honestly — we have not taken one apart.
Safety
The hanging ball is attached inside the tunnel. If your cat is a determined chewer, check the attachment now and again and take the toy off if it starts to work loose. As with any pet bed, keep it away from heaters and open fires.
