A quilted cover that drops over the rear bench and hooks up behind the front headrests, so it makes a hammock rather than a flat sheet. That shape is the point: it stops a dog sliding into the footwell when you brake, and it keeps mud and hair off the seat backs as well as the seat.

Will it fit my car?
The manufacturer lists it for saloons, family cars, SUVs and pickups. At 147 cm across it covers a standard rear bench in almost anything on UK roads. Measure your bench across the widest point before ordering if you drive something unusually narrow, such as a small three-door.
Care
Shake it out, then vacuum or lint-roller the hair off. It is machine washable on a cool gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry and do not iron the backing. Let it air dry fully before putting it back in the car, or it will smell.
Honest answers
Is it actually waterproof? The manufacturer describes it as waterproof, and the polypropylene backing is what does that job. In practice, no seat cover is a sealed bath. A soaking wet dog on a long drive can eventually work moisture through the stitching, so give it a shake-out and a dry after wet walks rather than leaving it damp.
Can passengers still use the back seat? Not at the same time. This is a cover for when the rear bench is the dog's. The manufacturer does not list seat-belt openings, so if you need to carry people and the dog together, this is not the right product.
Does it stop the dog moving around? It stops them sliding off the seat, which is the main thing. It is not a restraint and it is not crash-tested. If your dog needs to be secured, use a proper harness and seat-belt tether as well.
Will it slide about? The headrest straps and the seat anchors are what hold it. Pull the straps properly tight when you fit it. A loosely fitted cover will rumple.
Safety
This is a seat protector, not a safety restraint, and it has not been crash-tested. Under the Highway Code, dogs must be suitably restrained in a vehicle. Use a crash-tested harness, crate or guard for that, and use this to keep the seats clean.
