Feathers pop out of six holes around the base at random, so your cat has to watch and pounce rather than follow a predictable loop.
BALL TRACK IN THE BASE
Balls roll in a channel around the base. They stay captive in the track, so there is nothing to lose under the sofa or swallow.

CARE AND CLEANING
Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Do not submerge it - it has electronics inside. Pull loose fur out of the ball track so the balls keep rolling freely.

No, it recharges, so there is no ongoing cost in AA batteries.
Will it keep my cat busy all day?
No, and be wary of anything that claims it will. Cats play in short bursts. This gives you several engaging sessions a day rather than continuous entertainment.
Are the attachments replaceable?
The butterfly and feathers are the parts that wear. Replace them once the fabric tears rather than letting your cat pull pieces loose.
Is it suitable for kittens?
Yes, with supervision. Kittens play harder and are more likely to chew attachments than adult cats.
